  6. GENERAL
  7. INFORMATION:   Occasionally customers want to use one of our old 286B file
  8.                servers as a standalone workstation.  This machine was
  9.                designed strictly as a file server and the BIOS looks for a
  10.                channel one disk controller to boot from a DCB.  This poses
  11.                a problem if a person wants to replace the DCB with a
  12.                standard channel zero Western Digital type controller for
  13.                use as a workstation.  They would be forced to obtain a
  14.                custom BIOS.

  16.                Recently a customer reported that they installed a DTC 70287
  17.                controller in place of the DCB and it worked.
